Questions about getting a mentor.

How do I find a business mentor?

Business owners can find a mentor by sending New Hampshire Business Mentors a short request describing their business and what they need. A person on the nhbm team reads it and matches the owner with volunteer mentors whose experience fits, then makes the introduction by email. Owners do not have to browse profiles or choose a mentor themselves.

How does business mentoring work at New Hampshire Business Mentors?

Business owners meet their mentors on virtual calls and keep meeting for as long as the mentoring helps. Sessions are one-to-one conversations about the business, for owners at any stage from a first idea to an established company. The owner brings the questions, and the mentors share what running a business taught them.

How much does a business mentor cost at New Hampshire Business Mentors?

A business mentor from New Hampshire Business Mentors costs nothing. There are no fees, no trial period and no upsell. Every mentor volunteers their time, and mentoring is free for business owners. The workshops run by nhbm are free to attend as well, and no payment details are requested at any step.

Do I need an account to request a business mentor?

No. Business owners do not need an account to request a mentor from New Hampshire Business Mentors. The request form is all that is needed, and the nhbm team follows up by email. The form asks for what the team needs to make a match, such as the business, its stage and the challenge to work on.

How soon will I hear back after requesting a business mentor?

A person on the nhbm team reads every request from a business owner and follows up by email. New Hampshire Business Mentors then introduces the owner to matched mentors by email, and the first meeting is arranged on a virtual call. No account is needed at any point.
