About me
I spent over four decades in construction-adjacent industries — manufacturing, distribution, sales, and day-to-day operations. I ran my family's HVAC equipment distribution business, which we eventually sold to a publicly traded company. I then acquired a granite countertop fabrication business, grew it, and ultimately sold it to a longtime employee. So while my strength is operations, I've also been through the full transactional cycle — running a business, selling it, buying another, and selling that one too. My real strength is operations — the practical, day-to-day work of running a business well: managing people, systems, vendor and customer relationships, logistics, and the countless decisions that come with keeping a company running smoothly and growing sustainably. Since retiring, I've stayed active as a hands-on advisor to a residential real estate development business, so my perspective is current, not just theoretical. I can help clients with:
Day-to-day operations and business management, especially in construction, distribution, manufacturing, or trades Building and managing teams, vendor relationships, and systems as a business grows Buying or selling a business, from the operator's perspective Practical problem-solving for the everyday challenges of running a small business General entrepreneurial guidance from someone who has been a hands-on operator through multiple ownership transitions
Beyond business, I've spent significant time in nonprofit leadership. From 1983 to 2005, I served as a director and trustee of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, where the Club was named Club of the Year and received several other national awards during my tenure. That experience taught me a great deal about organizational leadership, board governance, and building something that serves a community well over the long haul. I'd welcome the chance to help you think through the operational challenges of your business.
