About me

I have 45 years of experience in the Insurance Industry. Started in an entry level field position and progressed to a Board of Directors role for a major insurance carrier. I spent 35 of those years supporting small business owners/entrepreneurs in every phase of the establishment and growth of their agencies. Also oversaw the buying and selling of established businesses. Throughout my career I found time to give back to the community. In retirement, I have found fulfilment as a volunteer business mentor. I enjoying listening to clients sharing their dreams and visions. It is gratifying to work with them as they develop their business model and work on implementation. I have found video conferencing with note taking to be a very effective mentoring tool. C0-mentoring with another volunteer and the clients provides different experiences and perspectives.

How do I work with John as a business mentor?

Business owners do not book mentors directly. The Ask for John button opens one short request, and the request notes that the owner asked for John. A person on the nhbm team then matches the owner based on need and mentor availability, so another mentor who fits may also be suggested.

Is there a cost to work with John?

No. John is a volunteer mentor with New Hampshire Business Mentors, and mentoring is free for business owners. There are no fees, no trial period and no account to create. Sessions are held on virtual calls, and owners keep meeting with their mentors for as long as the mentoring helps.
